Code in respect of the use of ID Cards

1. Cards to be used only when conducting business on behalf of Clevedon Town Council

Business being
a. Committee or subcommittee meeting including external site meetings
b. Attending a meeting as a designated formal representative of the Town  Council on outside bodies meetings
c. Attending a meeting or event at the request of the Town Council by resolution.

2. Residents contact
The cards can be used for identification if a Councillor is approached by a resident in respect of their role as a ward councillor.

3. The cards cannot be transferred nor used to confer or seek favour or to disadvantage another person, or business.

4. Cards are returned to the office at the end of the Councillors term of office.

5. Councillors will pay for the cost of replacing lost or stolen cards during their term of office.
